All kittens are $600.
We occasionally have older cats available. Some are young adults originally considered for my breeding program but, for various reasons, are better suited to being dearly-loved pets. Other adults are retired from breeding and ready to become full-time pets. Prices for these cats are less and will vary.
Policies - updated 11/15/09
Among the provisions in the Sales Contract are the following:
* All cats and kittens will have been dewormed and will be current in their vaccinations.
* Kittens will have been seen by my veterinarian at least twice.
* All breeding cats and any sires used in the Puss n' Books breeding program have been DNA-tested for the known mutation causing hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) in Maine Coon cats. The results of the testing are available to anyone interested in purchasing a kitten or cat.
* A written health guarantee is provided in the Sales Contract along with the responsibilities of both the breeder (me) and the purchaser.
* The kitten will be spayed/neutered by the age of nine months unless a written exception is made.
* The kitten/cat will not be declawed without the breeder's written permission.
* The kitten/cat will not be allowed to run free outdoors.
* Breeder reserves the right to refuse placement of any kitten/cat at any time.
